  Cracking little pub, unfortunatly, despite good food, they're charging fine dining or inner city prices with small portions. £15 for a fish and chips which is a child's portion at best feels like you're being ripped off a little. The steak and ale pie was great however and much more reasonable.
  
  Personally I think pubs like this need to stick to doing what works, good quality hearty food with generous portions which people are happy paying the premium for. Or the alternative, cheaper prices so people don't mind compromising on portion size. I think you can only get away with expensive prices on small portions if the quality is there.
  
  The Ferry Inn is nice, but nothing to write home about. If you're in the area, i'd definitely recommend it, but I'm not sure I'll be making a trip out there again, unless I visit the camp site up the road again...

  Great food, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go again. It rare to find a place that offers this level of local quality for great prices.
  It's also dog friendly, so to all passing through or visiting cawood I would recommend popping in you won't be disappointed.
